Chief Creative Officer. Walé Oyéjidé, Esq. is a designer, filmmaker, writer, photographer, musician and lawyer that combats bias with creative storytelling. As the founder of Ikiré Jones, he employs fashion design as a vehicle to celebrate the perspectives of marginalized populations.
Collectives
Mr. Oyéjidé is a Fellow of Sundance Feature Film, BlackStar Philadelphia Filmmaker Lab, Open Society Foundations Moving Walls, and Google Image Equity, among others. As a TED Fellow, he gave a TED Talk at TED Global in Tanzania. He is also a National Geographic Explorer.

His apparel design can be seen in the films "Black Panther" (Marvel Studios) “Coming 2 America” (Amazon), and “Dispatches from Nowhere” (AMC).
Museum Exhibitions
His work was part of the "Making Africa" contemporary design exhibit, which was at the Vitra Design Museum in Germany, the Guggenheim Bilbao in Spain, the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, and the HIGH Museum of Art in Atlanta. He was also featured in the "Creative Africa" exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. His work has been exhibited at the Centraal Museum, Grassi Museum, House of European History, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Penn Museum, and the Fowler Museum, UCLA.
Talks
As a speaker, he has lectured about his work in Brazil, Ecuador, France, Tanzania, and the United Kingdom. In venues like Harvard Museums of Art, the TED main stage and the UNESCO headquarters, to name a few.
Publications
Mr. Oyéjidé is one of the co-writers of the anthology, “The Good Immigrant USA” (Little, Brown and Company, 2019). His other work include screenwriting and freelance creative copywriting.
Presentations
His designs were presented as part of the "Generation Africa" fashion show at Pitti Uomo 89 in Florence, Italy.
He is a recording artist/producer that has collaborated with J-Dilla and MF Doom, among others. And for what it's worth, Esquire Magazine noted Mr. Oyéjidé as one of the best dressed men in the United States of America.

Sam Hubler individually attends to each of the garments that Ikiré Jones produces. He is an acclaimed tailor with extensive training in pattern drafting and garment construction.
